WPL IMAGES SEARCH TIPS
Multiple words
You may type in as many words as you want in the search box:

Typing red London bus will only show photos which have all 3 of these keywords.

Combined keywords:

Typing Tower Bridge will only show photos that have the combined keyword Tower Bridge.

To narrow your search, use commas:

Typing Tower Bridge, boat will only show the photos of Tower Bridge that also have a boat or boats in them.
Use singular forms
Keywords have generally been entered in their singular form:

So a search using bus will bring up more results than buses.

A search using horse will show photos of a horse and of horses.
Place names
Searches are not case-sensitive:

You can type London or london both will produce results.

Names starting with “the”:

In place names, where the first word is “the”, this has been removed, so you should type Algarve rather than the Algarve.

Use of apostrophes:

In general, apostrophes have been kept intact, so you should type Speaker’s Corner rather than Speakers Corner.

Keywords have been entered in the English language but some places or events may also have keywords in the native language, such as Neues Rathaus (the New City Hall of Vienna), or Feria de Abril (the April Fair in Spain).

Dashes:

Usually dashes (-) have been removed from place names, so you should type Les Baux de Provence rather than Les Baux-de-Provence.
Use the “-ing” form for actions
Try typing baking rather than bake, or dancing instead of dance.
