The town of Klagenfurt and the surrounding lakes are a highlight of the Carinthia region. The Old Town has historic buildings and monuments and there are loads of picturesque castles and palaces in the area.

The Krimmler Waterfall is the tallest in Austria and is turned into a beautiful spectacle of white icicles when it freezes in the Winter. Add to this a landscape of frosted trees and snow crystals and you'll have a wonderful photographic experience.

Vienna is one of Europe's most picturesque capital cities and is absolutely magical in the evening when so many of its buildings are illuminated that you'll be spoilt for choice.
